As a bench joiner, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Make up furniture from drawings 

  • Preparing the wood (may involve cutting planning and shaping the wood) 

  • Using joinery techniques to connect the different pieces of wood securely 

  • Assembling to create the final furniture piece 

  • Finishing the furniture to desired requirements 

  • Inspection and quality checking of completed furniture
