As Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Overall responsibility for monthly management accounts, year-end accounts pack, monthly reconciliations and reviewal of all VAT transactions
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Overseeing the Finance Assistant and reviewing their work
  • Monitoring the cashflow and updating on short-term and long-term forecasts
  • Keeping up to date with all R&D and IUK roles, tax legislation and accounting framework changes

As Finance Manager you will have:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in the technology or manufacturing sector
  • Prior experience of accounting treatment in work progress and long-term contracts (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Payroll experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

The purpose of this job

In this Project Engineer role, you will work within a cross-functional project team environment to lead and manage the delivery (from concept though to installation, training, and project closure) of highly complex bespoke, robot based, electromechanical systems for use in factory and process automation.

Your responsibilities as Project Engineer will include:

  • To be self-directing following the Project Management process, working with the department heads and the project team to ensure successful completion of assigned projects.

  • A sound understanding of Earned Value Management principles with practical application.
  • An appreciation of the Commercial and Financial aspects within the project environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft office, Excel, and Microsoft Project skills.
  • The ability to challenge project managers and contribute to process and reporting improvements.
  • Experience of an ERP system, in particular experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX within a project environment.
  • Knowledge of Risk standards, specifically Management of Risk (MOR).
