Quality Inspector | £27,000 per annum | Poole

Purpose

As a Quality Inspector for this established engineering company in Poole, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring all final products meet customers’ expectations, with each day varying dependant on the departments focus.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

• Visually inspect aerospace components and assemblies against specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, converting between metric and imperial measurements
• Use a variety of inspection tools including verniers and micrometres
• Work with the production and assembly teams to trace and rectify defects
• Maintain reports and documentation of defects, identifying and reporting trends
• Be able to give feedback in constructive way to various departments regarding product defects
• Carry out inspection of raw materials to ensure company standards are met.

Background

The successful Quality Inspector will have:

• A background in engineering, whether this be from a professional role, education or hobbyist projects
• The ability to work within a small team with a proactive attitude
• A genuine passion for engineering, particularly if it is within the automotive space
• Good communication skills, able to liaise across various departments.
