Production & Scheduling Assistant, Blandford, £35,000

The purpose of the role

As a Production & Scheduling Assistant, you will support the management and co-ordination of the manufacturing process. You will ensure production runs efficiently, ensuring continuous improvement and on-time delivery dates, resulting in customer satisfaction.

Working hours are likely to be 07:30 – 16:00 M-F.

As a Production & Scheduling Assistant, you’ll be responsible for

• To coordinate the scheduling process.
• To work with the Production Manager to ensure that all company required & external compliance documentation is kept up to date.
• To liaise with the Sales Department to ensure that the orderbook is managed to meet the lead times given and manufacturing targets are kept within the specified values.
• Full participation in stock take activities.
• Development of the ERP system to improve production processes.
• Assist the Production Team in the implementation projects as required.
  • Assist the Production Team on reporting of production activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of relevant key performance indicators.
  • Assist the Production Team in ensuring that the relevant resources are available to achieve delivery of the production schedule, including staffing, tooling, instructions, parts, materials, consumables, packaging & part-finished products.

As a Production & Scheduling Assistant, you will need

• Experience using MS Office, Excel, Work and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, Customer relationship skills.
• Data base management would be advantageous.
• An eye for detail and accuracy.
• An outgoing and personable individual, who can work in a busy environment.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
