Overview
Are you a skilled and experienced bench joinery looking for your next challenge? Rubicon People Partnership’s client are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join their team within the wood shop.
As a bench joiner, you will be responsible for crafting furniture using various woodworking techniques and tools. You’ll play a crucial part in production, ensuring furniture is completed on schedule to the highest of standards.
Responsibilities
As a bench joiner, your responsibilities will include:

Make up furniture from drawings
-
Preparing the wood (may involve cutting planning and shaping the wood)

Using joinery techniques to connect the different pieces of wood securely
-
Assembling to create the final furniture piece
-
Finishing the furniture to desired requirements
-
Inspection and quality checking of completed furniture
-
Working from engineering drawings
Background
To be successful in this bench joiner role, you will have:

Previous and recent carpentry and/or bench joinery experience
-
An exceptional eye for detail and a passion for precision work
-
Ability to work well within a team as well as the ability to self-manage and work on your own

Residence within sensible distance to our customers’ site as relocations will not be considered
