Planning Coordinator, Bournemouth, £30,000

Purpose

As a Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules and material requirements in line with the Master Production Schedule, orders, and forecasts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Planning experience is not required for this role; a background in administration and strong organisational skills are all you need to be considered.

Key Duties as a Planning Coordinator

  • Collaborating with assembly teams to ensure jobs are completed on time according to production plans
  • Maintaining production schedules and material requirements in line with the Master Production Schedule
  • Working with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules
  • Providing management with insights into potential production bottlenecks, such as material shortages
  • Releasing and maintaining all required paperwork for assembly and other departments
  • Aligning material receipts with demand by working closely with the purchasing team
  • Updating and maintaining the ERP system with accurate planning data
  • Supporting the management of inventory levels and work-in-progress (WIP)
  • Contributing to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives across teams
