Brake Press Operator

Christchurch 

Mon-Thurs 07.00-15.30 Fri 07.00-12.00

Rubicon’s client is looking for a new, talented and experienced Brake Press Operator to play a key role in the Engineering department, delivering excellent quality service and meeting production deadlines. 

Key areas of resposibility of the Brake press Operator 

  • Production of sheet details to customer drawings and tooling.
  • Be able to use Amada Brake presses
  • Responsible for reading and following engineering
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Be flexible to work in other departments as required once training has been given.
  • Be able to work to tight timescales independently or in a team.
  • Be able to liaise with other member of the production team to ensure smooth functioning of workflow

 

Brake press operator Experience Required 

  • Ability to read aircraft drawings and specifications.
  • Must be fully conversant on the setting and operating of the CNC brake press
  • Ability to inspect own work
  • Ability to maintain equipment
  • Ability to perform minor repairs
  • Experience with the use of Amada brake presses is an advantage

  • Comply with company ITAR/EAR requirements – May require use of information that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and / or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
