Purpose

This is an opportunity to work as a Driver for a well-established business in the local area. As a Driver, you will play a key role in the manufacturing environment, driving the company vehicle and operating the forklift in a safe and efficient manner, on a permanent basis.

For this role, you must have a valid, in-date Counterbalance forklift licence as you will be supporting in the warehouse as well as doing the driving work.

Responsibilities

As a Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving Counterbalance forklift
  • Driving the Company vehicle (full, clean licence essential)
  • Liaise with customers on delivers or at the counter
  • Flexibility to carry out a variety of duties
  • Working within the warehouse – picking, packing, stock checking, etc
  • Participate in on-the-job training to develop essential skills.

Background

As a successful Driver, you’ll have:

  • An in date, accredited forklift licence
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Previous driving and/or warehouse experience
  • The capacity to conduct heavy lifting work.

  • Research and promotion of H&S compliance
  • Being the lead on the maintenance and improvement of the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards
  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs to regularly identify areas for improvement as well as providing data and insights to senior management
  • Evaluating supplier performance to include negotiation of terms and contracts
  • Assisting with the invoice processes (including quotes, POs and purchasing), management of cashflow, accounts receivable and optimisation of billing processes
  • Management and organisation of company events and exhibitions

  • Experienced in utilising WMS and ERP systems
  • Able to thrive and learn in an exciting, fast paced, collaborative environment
