The Warehouse Operative responsibilities will include (although are not limited to):

• Loading and unloading goods and materials for company and customer vehicles
• Moving and stacking materials

• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse/yard environment
• Assisting with security of warehouse and stock

Overview:

You’re a Mechanical Fitter with a passion for what you do. Looking for a role that offers variety daily and that will test your skills hourly. You’ve possibly learnt all you can within your current position and are now looking for a business who can offer progression within a stable environment.

The position will involve working on lots of one-off projects where you’ll get exposure to mechanical, systems. Although you don’t need to be a master in all, you will more than likely be from a heavy engineering or Water works background.

Background

As a successful mechanical fitter, you’ll have some of the following:

  • Previous experience working with manual milling and turning machines
  • A background working within a fabrication environment
  • Possibly used a MIG welder to either tack or weld thick plate steel
  • Come from an aerospace background or worked in a fitting capacity on aircraft
  • Inspection and grading of components to ascertain if they can be reused or if replacements are required
  • CSCS Card 
  • IPAF is desirable but not essential 
  • PASMA is desirable but not essential
  • COSHH Awareness
