Cable Layer / Ground Worker – £625 per week

Overview

An ideal position for individuals with prior experience working in the great outdoors, with a ‘can do’ attitude who are looking for a new challenge and change of scenery.

This role will be out in the elements, come rain or shine, assisting in the operation of heavy-duty equipment that is used to connect rural locations to the internet. Owing to the nature of the role, each day is different, with fresh challenges, changing locations, and the constant need to think on the spot to ensure the job gets done.

Getting your steps in will never again be an issue. You’ll spend your days in the great outdoors, covering some miles, ensuring that the equipment is running smoothly with the support of your team.

It’s a unique role to say the least; furthermore, it’s a unique company! A reputation for developing staff, promoting from within, and working as a close-knit team has, in no small part, led to this organization’s significant growth. Culture is key.

Previously successful candidates have come from a variety of backgrounds, including:

  • Ground worker
  • Farming
  • Machine/plant operating
  • Refuse collection
  • Landscaping
  • Cable Laying/utilities

The Offer

Beyond working for an awesome company, these positions also offer a competitive salary, paid on a PAYE basis. The role also has occasional overtime available, which is paid at a premium.

The work continues regardless of the weather, offering more security than the likes of farming or construction, which have the risk of being rained off.

Having experienced significant growth over the last 2 years, the opportunity for promotion and development is very real. Lots of businesses claim there is a chance to grow, but it’s more than just hot air here; developing and promoting team members is the preference.

Other benefits include:

  • Life Assurance
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • 33 days annual leave (option to buy or sell an additional 5)
  • Income protection
  • Overtime paid at a premium
  • Regular social events
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • The successful candidates will be joining a rapidly expanding team.
