Service Engineer / Toolmark, Poole, £20 per hour
Purpose
As a Service Engineer / Toolmaker, you will have prior experience in a range of manufacturing, assembly, and fitting processes, as well as having a clear view of engineering best practice from a paperwork to practical perspective.
This role will involve travel both national and international travel (which will be paid at an increased rate).

Work hours are typically 07:30 / 08:00 – 16:30 / 17:00, with a half day Friday. The company also offer 25 days holiday (+ BHs), private health care, discretionary bonuses etc.
Responsibilities
As a Service Engineer / Toolmaker, you will:
- Follow customer designs and specifications to build high-quality components and aircraft tools.
- Use a wide variety of hand tools and manual machinery to manufacture and repair components and tools as needed.
- Be prepared and available to travel as required to support global mobile service operations.
- Conduct assessments and document findings on customer tools and equipment based on fault analysis and surveys.
- Train and support employees and customers in the safe operation of products and tooling.
- Offer feedback and suggestions for business improvements through the SQCDP process.
- Take responsibility for self-certifying the quality of completed work.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and customers.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly to ensure job tracking, progress, and cost management.
- Adhere to all company, customer, and regulatory HSE guidelines at all times.
- Carry out any additional reasonable tasks in line with the role and position.
Background
The successful Service Engineer / Toolmaker will have:
- In-depth knowledge of working within an AS9100-controlled environment.
- Extensive experience in high-precision machining, including milling and turning.
- Skilled in fabrications and structural tooling.
- Proven expertise in high-quality fitting and assembly.
- Ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures based on best practice principles.
