Bench Joiner, Poole, £15.50ph 

Overview 

Are you a skilled and experienced bench joinery looking for your next challenge? Rubicon People Partnership’s client are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join their team within the wood shop. 

As a bench joiner, you will be responsible for crafting furniture using various woodworking techniques and tools. You’ll play a crucial part in production, ensuring furniture is completed on schedule to the highest of standards. 

Responsibilities 

As a bench joiner, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Make up furniture from drawings 

  • Preparing the wood (may involve cutting planning and shaping the wood) 

  • Using joinery techniques to connect the different pieces of wood securely 

  • Assembling to create the final furniture piece 

  • Finishing the furniture to desired requirements 

  • Inspection and quality checking of completed furniture 

  • Working from engineering drawings 

Background 

To be successful in this bench joiner role, you will have: 

  • Previous and recent carpentry and/or bench joinery experience 

  • An exceptional eye for detail and a passion for precision work 

  • Ability to work well within a team as well as the ability to self-manage and work on your own 

  • Residence within sensible distance to our customers’ site as relocations will not be considered 

  • Consistent work history and employers we can obtain references from
