The purpose of this role: 

As the Senior Electronics Engineer, you’ll be familiar with electronics design, configuration management, EMC design, testing, and reliability having worked on NPI for specialist electronic products. As the most senior member of the Electronics team, you’ll provide leadership to a high-performance, multidisciplinary team delivering in the full lifecycle development and commissioning of specialist equipment.

As the Senior Electronics Engineer, you will: 

  • Provide technical expertise, working hands on with design, schematics, and hardware commissioning.
  • Oversee the production and maintenance of documentation, effectively communicating electronics functionality requirements.
  • Working closely across functions to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Overseeing the skills development of the team.
  • Be actively involved in undertaking technical reviews.
  • Facilitate full product lifecycle from initial concept through to manufacture, working to cost and time constraints while ensuring quality and specification targets are met.

The successful Senior Electronics Engineer will: 

  • Have previous experience of end-to-end product development and NPI from initial concept, design, implementation, and delivery.
  • Be familiar with high-level electronics design, testing and hardware commissioning for product manufacture and deployment.
  • Have experience with electronic schematic design systems such as Altium and PAD.
  • Be accustomed with creating proposals and design documentation, as well as effectively communicating requirements to team members across departments.
  • Take responsibility for overseeing risk management through project lifecycle.
