This months’ HR Forum will focus on Sickness and Managing Absence and will take place remotely on Wednesday 22nd February at 11am.

We all know that effectively reducing sickness in organisations leads to a more productive and engaged workforce.  However, successfully implementing absence management is a different matter, especially given the additional challenges posed by a significant increase in absence as a result of sickness post Covid.

Kate will discuss the process of managing both short-term sickness absence and long-term sickness absence and how to tackle common hurdles, including uncooperative employees.

Kate Brooks is a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by The Legal 500 and is a Partner at Ellis Jones.  Her expertise lies in Employment Law and HR Advice.  Kate acts for many local businesses and her work includes: defending Employment tribunal claims; negotiating termination deals; preparing/reviewing/amending employment documentation; advising on employment status; data protection; how to change terms and conditions of employment; restrictions after the end of employment; HR consultancy service; and preparing & negotiating settlement agreements.
