Rubicon Recruitment and Ellis Jones Solicitors are hosting a free mock tribunal as part of our monthly HR Forums, giving HR professionals, people managers, and business leaders in Dorset a rare opportunity to see discrimination and harassment legislation in action.

This is not a seminar. It is a live, interactive mock tribunal built around a real HR scenario, and you will play an active part in shaping its outcome. The session will be face-to-face, but also available to watch live via our live stream.

What Is a Mock Tribunal?

A mock tribunal replicates the structure and process of a real employment hearing in a safe, no-stakes environment. Rather than reading about how discrimination law works, you watch it unfold, hear the arguments on both sides, and leave with a clear, practical understanding of what the process looks like from the inside.

For HR professionals responsible for managing employee relations or advising on workplace behaviour, that kind of firsthand insight is difficult to get any other way.

The Session

The mock tribunal will focus on a discrimination case of a harassment claim, walking you through the key stages of a tribunal process from both the employer’s and employee’s perspective. The session will be interactive: you will have the opportunity to participate, ask questions, and help determine the outcome of the case.

The aim? To leave better informed about discrimination legislation, more confident in your ability to respond if a similar situation arises, and clearer on the practical steps employers can take to manage and mitigate risk.
