Transport Coordinator, Blandford, £28,000
Purpose of the role
As a Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all company vehicles are legal and compliant with regulations. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive support to our Despatch function, always ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

As a Transport Coordinator, your responsibilities will include
- First point of call for all internal and external customers by phone and email relating to transport or delivery enquiries.
- To be responsible for all Company vehicle & licence checks and to administer and maintain all records accordingly.
- Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure products are delivered correctly, in accordance with schedules and booking in where necessary, also to coordinate the collections of purchased product.
- Maintain databases to ensure that all company vehicles adhere to the inspection/ maintenance schedules and for ensuring vehicles are available for inspection / maintenance as and when required and in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for tracking all company vehicle movements, company pool cars and securing all vehicles keys when not in use.
- Assist and report any Company Driver issues such as accidents, defects and safety concerns and ensure all relevant documents are completed and recorded to comply and maintain to road worthiness standards.
- Assist with drivers wherever possible such as breakdown recovery, confirming orders, road closures, identify potential problems and provide solutions to minimise delivery delays and improve efficiency at all times
