Responsibilities
As a Trainee Metal Worker, your duties will involve:
- Operating a selection of manual and CNC based machinery for metal processing
- Processing steel to customers’ requirements and tolerances
- Working within the company’s quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders
- Operating forklifts, combi lifts and the crane, safely and in a controlled manner
- Loading, offloading of plates and parts from the machines
- Identifying and locating different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment.
Background
The successful Trainee Metal Worker will have:
- Competency at reading drawings, orders and following verbal instructions
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
