Strategic Buyer, Southampton, £35,000

The purpose of this role

As the Strategic Buyer you will be managing commodities for all areas of the business, successfully developing supply partners to ensure excellent support for the entire business.

As the Strategic Buyer you will be responsible for:

  • Managing relationships with suppliers and partners, arranging the best agreements possible
  • Proposing strategic direction to wider businesses, identifying all opportunities for improvements
  • Providing market intelligence to aid in planning and decision making, giving all support to the commodity
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, liaising with stakeholders where required

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within Supplier Management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and work with commodity strategies
