Manufacturing Engineer, Poole, up to £45,000pa

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, improving quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing cycle. Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Oversee new product introduction, establishing efficient production methods and providing guidance to design and production teams.
- Implement structured problem-solving techniques to resolve production-related challenges.
- Assist with cost reduction initiatives and introduce innovative processes, techniques, and solutions.
- Train and mentor operators on production procedures and best practices.
- Prepare estimates and manage costs related to job functions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers / customers.
- Actively participate in Health and Safety initiatives.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts to identify and address underlying issues.
- Identify and implement advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Analyse and plan workflow, space utilisation, and equipment placement to optimise manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure production equipment remains operational.
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DfM) advice to the Engineering team.
Background
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will:
- Be experienced with modern manufacturing processes.
- Have exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Be able to demonstrate achievements of improving processes and quality within a manufacturing environment.
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work alongside a range of disciplines and promote a positive team environment.
- Be highly organised, capable of managing concurrent and often competing priorities.
- Having knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks would be beneficial.
