Estimator, Poole, £40,000

Purpose

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing accurate cost projections for projects. You will support the business in bidding for contracts, planning budgets, managing resources, and ensuring profitability while meeting client requirements and adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

As an Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with customers on estimates for new and repeat projects.
• Implement efficient manufacturing methods and processes.
• Provide accurate lead-times for each quote.
• Identify and manage tooling requirements for new parts.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and shopfloor teams as needed.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers as required.
• Support planning, production, and quality teams with methods, costing, and information.

Background

The successful candidate for an Estimator will have:

• Previous estimating/planning experience is ideal.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• An understand of estimating for machines components AND / OR sheet metal fabrication parts.
